Clients can simultaneously book a cruise with Yankee Trails and arrange for round trip bus transportation to and from these departure locations.

Mercury designed and developed the current Yankee Trails website which was launched in January, 2006. Since its launch, Mercury has worked with Yankee Trails on a regular basis to provide functional enhancements to the website, making it even more robust and effective for users. The current website has significantly helped Yankee Trails grow their business.

With the development of a specific section of the site dedicated to the Yankee Trails World Travel Cruise offerings, clients will more easily be able to browse through the Cruises available. By creating a new section of their website dedicated to this line of business, Yankee Trails will be able to specifically target the type of potential clients that may be searching online for this service. Creation of a new site to specifically promote a single line of its business will allow the website to be highly optimized to generate more business from organic search engine traffic.

Concurrent with the new website project, Mercury will create a new design for the current Yankee Trails’ website. The current website will benefit from a fresh looking, more intuitive looking design that better depicts the type of business Yankee Trails World Travel has become. The re-design will be further optimized to position the current website better for increased organic search engine traffic. Mercury will develop the new Yankee Trails website so that the new site will utilize the technology that was custom built and customized even further since the launch of the existing website. In this way, Yankee Trails will be able to fully capitalize on its prior investment. Both sections of the site will use the same content management database so that website updates will update all the appropriate fields and pages in both sections simultaneously when either section is updated. This will simplify website administration for Yankee Trails and ensure currency and compatibility of both sections.

Mercury will use its newest version of its content management system, Mercury CMS3.5, to provide Yankee Trails with the most robust level of content management. More Web application tools will be added to the current site as well as to both sections to offer more user interaction and functionality. Some of the new functions include a Blog, site search and RSS feed reader, news and online gift card generation.
