CMS TOOLS

MercuryCMS v2.1 contains the following Web application tools which can be included and customized, as appropriate, as part of your website. Other tools, such as Reservation systems and Shopping Cart systems, which address your business specifically, can be custom built and added to the CMS in a seamless manner.

Pages Tool
 …the mother of all the tools, the foundation of the control panel, is an easy to use Web-based content management system which is used to make updates on the website such as making revisions on the existing pages, by adding new pages, or by sorting the sequence of the existing pages under each section or navigational layout. This powerful tool allows anybody that doesn’t have any prior Web experience to be able to manage the entire website as proficiently as a Web Master.

Business Directory
 …allows us to create and manage directories that are linked to an interactive Google map. The tool can be utilized to display businesses as suggested in the name; however it should not be thought to be limited to that, as it can list a wide variety of things ranging from properties to flora and fauna, anything that can be geo coded on a map.

Email Lists
 …allows site owners to collect email addresses from users to be used later to send information such as promotional announcements, discount coupons or newsletters.  Admin can easily review the collected emails on the back end, delete unwanted registrants, and export the entire list through Excel

Events Tool
 …allows admin to manage all the basic information that is necessary to announce an event including start and end date, descriptive details section, and the ability to add documents and media items, as well as additional information about an event such as location and contact information.  If needed, events can be featured quickly to any area of the website such as the “Upcoming Events” section on the homepage.

Forums
 …is a bulletin board system for the site which creates groups and forums so that users can post topics of interest. Forums can either be open to the public or private. Our system also allows unique user profiles with avatars, private messaging between users and a comprehensive administration panel with an ability to manage all activities and monitor posts.

Jobs Tool
 …manages a jobs related section in which a page lists all the active jobs in a summary format with the layout custom tailored to the client. Each announcement has its own dedicated dynamic page, which describes all the details of the job.  Creation of the announcements can either be through backend by admin or from the website by completing a form.

Media Gallery

 …houses pictures, audio, and video in categories and albums to be displayed on the site or archived in an organized fashion.  Within the gallery, albums can have unique detailed information such as the description of the album and files can have captions describing the pictures.  The tool accommodates a Featured file section to display selected items on the homepage.

News Tool
 …has the basic purpose to create, edit or delete news and event articles/announcements as well as to maintain the featured news section of the homepage.  Additionally, it has the capability of being adapted to various uses and shapes as desired.

Online Donations via Form
 …are a necessity for most non-for-profit organizations or events. Our module allows site visitors to make online donations on the website utilizing an integrated payment solution.  This action is usually implemented together with a form which will capture some information from the donor.

Polls
 …enables admin to create and evaluate custom polls on the website. The poll displays the collected statistics on the page right after the submission of the choice.

 Blog
Our Blog Tool has been added to our list of elements available to address a couple of issues. First it gives our clients the opportunity to become involved in the very popular method of communicating through Blogging. It allows them to generate articles relevant to their cause as an expert in their field. It provides a platform to voice their opinions and a tool to receive feedback on those opinions. Additionally it is also a very important ingredient of your Search Engine Optimization initiative as all article postings are sent out to the internet through an automated Ping Service built into the tool.

 Feedback
Keep track of contacts to the site via any simple contact form. With the Feedback module, requests can be replied to, forwarded, or deleted. All feedback can be exported quickly to Excel. Standard contact information is included in this as well as comments and the ability to have an opt in type functionality.

 Product Gallery
 ...keep track of products, make them active/inactive, feature products, label them as hazardous, include MSDS sheets and images...

Geographical Audience Targeting
...creating pages for each location that the business intends to be in their target audience. Each business sector can be given separate locations along with individual content
